Access to education and the associated educational opportunities for children in Tanzania depend very much on the income of their parents. Therefore, not all children get the same opportunities. In our projects, you support the teacher in their daily work.
Help teach at various pre-schools or primary schools on the beautiful tropical island of Zanzibar. With its unique influences and very chilled life style Zanzibar offers an unique experience to work with the local community and assist at one of the schools. The children love to learn more English, improve their Maths skills or learn about History and other subjects.
With us, you have the opportunity to support two different hospitals in Arusha. You can get an insight into the Tanzanian health system, which is very different from what you know from home. Most Tanzanians do not have health insurance and therefore have little access to good medical care. Your help is needed here!
In Tanzania, around 4 million children under 14 do not have access to adequate care. As a volunteer, you can get involved in institutions that counteract this. With a job orientation internship in Tanzania, you can combine several short-term internships from various fields and try out what suits you! The minimum duration for each internship is 1 or 2 weeks. You do not need any previous experience or training/studies for these internships and you can take part from the age of 16!
Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share - In Zanzibar you have the chance to volunteer or do an internship in permaculture farming with an international foundation that runs a permaculture garden for vocational training purposes and to produce the food ingredients used at the foundation's kitchen.
