Lutindi Mental Hospital is a private mental health facility in the scenic Usambara Mountains of Tanzania. Most patients are from the big cities and are addicted to alcohol or illegal drugs, or have schizophrenia or psychosis. Much emphasis is placed on occupational therapy in a rural setting that differs as much as possible from the big city.

You work at a school for children with autism. The pupils are between 6 and 18 years old. By relieving the teaching staff, you will be able to provide individual support for the children. If you have previous experience, you can also get involved in the therapeutic area.

In Namibia, a particularly large number of young people suffer from severe poverty. By getting involved in this project, you will be offering them the opportunity to receive support and creating a safe haven for them. In addition, the people there will be given prospects and a way out of poverty.

The street children aid project in Ghana focuses on the care and support of children from the poorest of backgrounds. Children who have no school education are taken off the streets. Practical skills are taught to help them find regular work. As a volunteer, you will support the care and education of the children.
