
The mostly single women and mothers in our projects come from difficult living conditions characterised by domestic violence and stigmatisation by Tanzanian society due to HIV/AIDS. We support the women with various initiatives so that they can find their way back to an independent and self-reliant life.

Lutindi Mental Hospital is a private mental health facility in the scenic Usambara Mountains of Tanzania. Most patients are from the big cities and are addicted to alcohol or illegal drugs, or have schizophrenia or psychosis. Much emphasis is placed on occupational therapy in a rural setting that differs as much as possible from the big city.
