
Millions of children in Tanzania are in urgent need of support. Many of them live on the streets or experience exploitation and abuse as "second-class children." Fortunately, there are numerous organizations dedicated to these children. You can become part of this valuable work with a volunteer placement or a non-paid internship!
Help out at a center for children with special needs in Jaipur, India. The center assists parents, as well as children and adolescents with support needs or mental disorders, such as Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders. Volunteer placements are possible in the areas of special education, occupational, physical, speech, and work therapy, NGO work, and psychology.
In Ghana's nurseries, the focus is on teaching basic social skills. Your task as a volunteer is to assist the educators in caring for the children and thus relieve them of some of their workload.
