The Marine and Coastal Conservation project researches and monitors the large seagrass meadows and sand dune systems that can be found around the beautiful island of Kefalonia in Greece.

The program takes place with a leading sea turtle conservation organization on the subtropical island of Okinawa, Japan. From April to July, you support nightly beach patrols to document nesting activity. In August and September, you assist with the hatching of baby turtles. Year-round, you contribute to beach cleanups, environmental education, fundraising, and data analysis.

The goal of this nature conservation project in East Iceland is to preserve and protect Iceland’s natural environment while raising awareness among participating volunteers about the dangers of climate change. The focus is on promoting effective countermeasures and encouraging more environmentally friendly actions to help safeguard our planet.
