The everyday life of many South Africans is influenced by poverty, malnutrition, lack of the access to medical care and education, violence and drug or alcohol abuse. As a volunteer you will support the non-profit organization, that supports people from socially difficult backgrounds and aims to improve their living conditions and opportunities.

Work with nature’s gentle giants on this inspiring conservation and research project. Working closely with the abused and displaced elephants, you gain a rich insight into one of the world’s most intelligent creatures. As a volunteer you get to know the elephants intimately whilst caring for them, feeding them and contributing to advancing research.

Immerse yourself in the local community as an sports coach or volunteer English teacher - or both! Go into local schools with a group of volunteers to help children develop their knowledge, sporting abilities, motivation and enjoyment. Sports include football, tennis, swimming, rugby, cricket, netball and basketball.

Do you enjoy sports and exercise and love working with children and young people? Help a local team of sports enthusiasts to teach sports at schools, train basketball or give swimming lessons to children and promote a healthy and active lifestyle! Supervised internships for students of Sports and Physical Education are also possible here.

Available for volunteers aged 17+. Actively contribute to monitoring and protecting lions, rhinos, elephants, leopards and support community projects whilst living on a beautiful coastal reserve on the Eastern Cape!

Les volontaires en mission d’aide à l’enfance au Cap s'impliquent dans la vie quotidienne de diverses structures en relation avec les enfants. Leur rôle est d’aider les enfants des townships (bidonvilles), en leur accordant une attention particulière et en stimulant leur développement.

In this project, you will volunteer in a kindergarten or preschool in disadvantaged neighborhoods of Cape Town. You will support the children in the kindergartens through play while teaching the preschoolers basic school skills such as arithmetic and writing.
