Many schools in Thailand urgently need support with English lessons – good English teaching is still not a given in Thailand and is usually only offered at expensive private schools. Help teach children at a public school English in a fun way and gain valuable experience as a volunteer.

A lack of or insufficiently qualified teachers makes it difficult for children in rural areas of Vietnam to access education. Help make up for this lack and support disadvantaged children in Vietnam by teaching English in an elementary school, for example!

The street children aid project in Ghana focuses on the care and support of children from the poorest of backgrounds. Children who have no school education are taken off the streets. Practical skills are taught to help them find regular work. As a volunteer, you will support the care and education of the children.

Help local students in the stunning Galapagos Islands improve their English skills and boost their confidence. You’ll assist or lead classes, focusing on conversational practice and pronunciation, preparing them for better future opportunities in tourism and beyond. English, in particular, is a challenge for many students due to the country's linguistic diversity. As a student teacher or trained teacher, you will gain valuable insights into the day-to-day work of a teacher in this project.

The mostly single women and mothers in our projects come from difficult living conditions characterised by domestic violence and stigmatisation by Tanzanian society due to HIV/AIDS. We support the women with various initiatives so that they can find their way back to an independent and self-reliant life.

Get involved in an award-winning project for Tibetan refugees in the hometown of the Dalai Lama in India and support community work in Nepal! Both projects will surely impress you and also the welcoming people living there and the stories they have to tell. Additionally we designed a program around these projects to show you the beauty of these countries, e.g. a trek on the Mount Everest!
