Various species of seabirds live in South Africa's lagoon areas and are threatened at the same time. A sanctuary is taking care of the preservation of the affected species. As a volunteer, you will be committed to animal protection. Off to Cape Town!

Work with nature’s gentle giants on this inspiring conservation and research project. Working closely with the abused and displaced elephants, you gain a rich insight into one of the world’s most intelligent creatures. As a volunteer you get to know the elephants intimately whilst caring for them, feeding them and contributing to advancing research.

The coast of South Africa is home to 43 species of marine mammals, but their habitat is threatened by pollution and overfishing. By volunteering, you can help protect them!

Guided by an experienced team, you'll provide essential daily care to ensure that the physical and mental needs of the centre's wildlife are met. Your help supports a genuine need for animal rehabilitation and sanctuary in the Greater Kruger National Park region.

Join a mobile medical unit travelling around game reserves, farmsteads and veterinary clinics on this exciting veterinary internship. Work closely with the vet to help both wild and domestic animals in beautiful areas of South Africa.

Help to care for and rehabilitate over 40 horses. No previous riding experience required. Enjoy riding along the Indian Ocean whilst watching whales and dolphins. Avaibable for solo volunteers aged 17 years+. Ideally located for free time activities and onwards travel in South Africa.
