A rare opportunity to monitor Africa’s wildlife in one of the largest private Big Five reserves in South Africa. Come face-to-face with elephants, rhinos, lions, and lesser-known species in this vast biodiversity hotspot. You’ll join a team of professional researchers to assist with monitoring and wildlife management, and gain access to areas that tourists can’t see.

If you are an adventurer looking for time-out which will benefit you in the long-term, then this course with training as Field Guide Level 1, is the right choice for you. In 55 days you will learn the essentials about the interplay of reserve, flora and fauna from experienced and highly qualified instructors. The programme focuses on delivering training and further education directly in the wild.

Get unrivalled access to sharks and other marine life on this conservation, research and eco-tourism venture. Spend your days out at sea, just off the dramatic South African coastline, monitoring shark and whale activity and educating tourists about the Marine Big 5.

Available for volunteers aged 17+. Actively contribute to monitoring and protecting lions, rhinos, elephants, leopards and support community projects whilst living on a beautiful coastal reserve on the Eastern Cape!
