Women from the Dhalit communities in India are often subject to multiple discriminiation because of their caste, their gender and their income situation.

An NGO based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan aims to promote the self-esteem, financial independence and educational, professional and social skills of disadvantaged women and girls.

On site, women and girls are offered various learning and educational opportunities, e.g. lessons in Hindi (basic reading & writing), English, math, as well as in craft and professional skills (e.g. sewing, textile printing, embroidery, beading, etc.). Graduates of the empowerment program can find work in one of two sewing centers operated by the NGO. The products manufactured there are sold in a boutique in Jodhpur and to customers abroad. The NGO offers women in India sustainable educational and professional opportunities and the prospect of a self-determined and independent life.

The NGO also runs school prevention and education programs on child sexual abuse, puberty and development.

How can you get involved? Virtual internship administration & marketing:

For this remote internship you won't have to travel to India yourself. The communication with your internship supervisor will take place via video conferencing, email and instant messaging services. You can work comfortably from home, broaden your knowledge working in an international team, and build your CV at the same time! You can decide for yourself how many hours a week you want to get involved. At the end you will receive an internship certificate.

With a remote internship in administration and marketing, you can help to support the NGO with public relations, reporting, fundraising, networking, as well as with blog, newsletter and social media updates. Interns can also get involved in marketing and administration of the boutique or develop ideas for your own campaigns or the product catalog.

It's a great opportunity to get an overall view of the work of an NGO.

Depuis 2007, nous nous consacrons à l'échange interculturel et à l’éducation dans le monde entier. Notre objectif est de favoriser la compréhension entre les cultures. Les expériences et les compétences interculturelles que vous pouvez acquérir en participant à notre programme augmentent l’empathie entre les peuples et favorisent une coexistence mondiale plus juste.

Nous avons nos propres équipes et divers programmes de volontariat, de stages, de vacances-travail et de langues en Tanzanie, à Zanzibar, en Afrique du Sud, au Maroc, en Israël/Palestine, en Irlande, en Allemagne, au Nicaragua, en Bolivie, en Inde, au Japon et en Corée du Sud.

Nous gérons nos propres camps de protection de l'environnement à plusieurs endroits, où nous menons des activités de protection de l'environnement et d'immersion culturelle sous la direction d'experts.

Pour chaque participant à nos programmes mondiaux, nous plantons 10 arbres indigènes sur le Kilimandjaro pour compenser les émissions de CO2 des vols. Nous gérons également des forêts de bambous à Zanzibar et au Kilimandjaro. Le bambou est un matériau polyvalent à croissance rapide qui n'est pas seulement un excellent puits de carbone, mais peut également remplacer le plastique et le bois dur dans de nombreuses applications.
