Make your mark on the world of ethical fashion while supporting vulnerable communities in Athens. This innovative project gives you the chance to work directly with a sustainable fashion brand, helping to reduce waste, promote creativity, and empower people who have experienced displacement or exploitation.
The project is based in the heart of Athens, where fashion meets social impact. You’ll join a small but passionate team that upcycles donated clothing into high-quality pieces designed and made by survivors of human trafficking, refugees, and other people facing marginalisation.
What is this project about?
Fast fashion has a devastating impact on both people and the planet. This project offers a powerful alternative. It helps reduce textile waste by reusing donated clothes and gives vulnerable individuals the chance to gain skills, confidence, and income through meaningful work in ethical production.
What will I be doing?
Volunteers are involved in all areas of the production and outreach process. No previous fashion experience is needed—just enthusiasm, teamwork, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Tasks include:
Helping to sort, disinfect, and prepare donated garments
Supporting with cutting, sewing, labelling, packaging, and quality control
Assisting with social media, event preparation, and marketing content
Taking part in community workshops and educational activities
Promoting circular fashion and raising awareness about ethical clothing
Why choose this project?
