Your Placement:
The NGO's development programs are funded and carried out entirely by volunteers. The challenges of managing, training, and coordinating volunteers require the employment of paid local professionals to ensure that volunteers are properly trained. The non-profit organization was founded in 2016 and manages various aid projects in Samaná and Las Terrenas.
Your Tasks:
You’ll support the team in raising awareness about the NGO's aid services. This includes producing short videos, documentaries, and radio & TV content, editing photos and videos, and writing editorial content for various platforms. You’ll conduct interviews and create content for social media channels. While project themes are often predefined, the team is always open to your input and new ideas.
Your working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Weekends are free for you to explore the island.
Up to four volunteers can participate in the project at the same time.
Project Goals:
The aim of this social media project is to promote the foundation's mission and document its work. The project raises awareness of children’s rights, while also addressing related topics such as youth and family development, gender equality and women’s empowerment, sexual education, prevention of domestic violence, and youth outreach and education for at-risk teens.
