The Adriatic Sea is calling—and you can help protect its vibrant marine life. From 1-8 weeks
This marine conservation project in Omiš places you on Croatia’s gorgeous coastline, working hands-on to preserve vital coastal ecosystems.
You’ll start your journey by earning an internationally recognised SSI diving qualification, tailored to fit your skill level—from beginner to advanced.
Underwater clean-ups are central to your role. You’ll dive beneath the waves to remove plastic, discarded fishing nets, and other harmful debris.
Beach and coastal clean-ups extend your impact above water, protecting habitats on land and promoting community awareness.
You’ll expand your knowledge through marine conservation workshops and supervised dives focused on Adriatic biodiversity and ecosystem health.
Participating in data collection during dives helps gather critical information about marine species, habitat conditions, and pollution levels.
This project also supports sustainable tourism in Omiš, creating long-term benefits for the local environment and community.

It’s about taking action on marine pollution and habitat degradation by combining diving, research, and conservation in a way that preserves coastal beauty and fosters eco-awareness.
What will I be doing?
You’ll attend SSI certification courses and guided dives to learn safety and dive techniques.
Every dive includes underwater clean-up missions to remove waste from the seabed.
Beach sessions reinforce these efforts, ensuring both marine and coastal health.
You’ll help collect data and support monitoring efforts to quantify pollution threats and ecosystem status.
You’ll engage in workshops and briefings to learn about local marine species, coral habitats, and environmental best practices.
