About the rescue center
In the greater Hanoi area, there are many neglected, stray, or wild animals living in catastrophic conditions. It is precisely these animals that are taken in by the animal rescue center and nursed back to health. The project has been running for several years and is part of the Hanoi Agricultural University as an NGO. The center consists of various departments, including surgical treatment and care for infectious diseases.
However, a lot of help is needed, as the facility is often at full capacity due to the number of cases.
Your tasks as a volunteer
Your tasks will cover a wide range of areas. Among other things, you will support the team on site in rescuing the animals. To do this, you will accompany a member of staff to the rescue center and help document the necessary information.
Of course, you will also help care for the animals. You will feed them and work with the rest of the team to ensure that their bowls, cages, and other living areas are clean and livable. Another aspect of your volunteer work is communicating with locals to find people who want to adopt the healthy animals. During your work, you will always be part of a team with other members of the station, so you will never be alone.
Your daily routine in the project
You can be quite flexible with your working hours. You can choose whether you want to work the morning shift from 8:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. or the afternoon shift from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you enjoy it, you are of course welcome to work both shifts. Normally, you will work from Monday to Friday. You have the weekends off.
