About the wildlife conservation project
The 7-hectare facility has been caring for endangered wild animals since 2001. Sick and disabled animals in particular find a safe haven here. Some of the animals were exploited for years. The aim is to release them back into the wild. However, this is not possible for all wild animals. For example, some monkeys, bears, birds, wolves, a crocodile, and elephants will spend their entire lives at the facility.
Your tasks in the project
First, you will learn the most important things about caring for and keeping the wild animals that live there. After that, there will be numerous tasks to master at your place of work. You will assist the staff on site with feeding and preparation. This will require your creativity. The animals should find their food as close to nature as possible. This means, for example, that it must be hidden or hung in the trees. You will also help clean the enclosures and habitats. There will always be repair work to do on the grounds. Another exciting area of responsibility is reintroduction into the wild—this will be a unique experience every time.
Your daily routine in the project
Feeding and preparing food will take up a lot of time. But there are also other tasks to be done throughout the day. You will have breakfast in the main building of the facility, and lunch and dinner will also be provided there. You will discuss the exact working hours with your colleagues and other participants on site. You can organize your free time as you wish.
