Your place of work in Tenerife
In Tenerife, many animals are still abandoned or live as strays in poor conditions. A sustainably run animal rescue centre provides a safe home for over 500 rescued dogs, cats, small animals and horses. As a volunteer, you will help care for the animals and experience a simple, sustainable life with like-minded people. The centre relies on solar energy, recycling and freeganism. A special feature: every Saturday, a vegan food truck comes directly to the project with delicious, healthy food.
Your tasks in the animal welfare project
Your tasks at the animal rescue centre are varied: you will help care for horses and small animals such as goats, pigs and guinea pigs. This includes mucking out, preparing feed, feeding and grooming. You can also get involved in manual work, maintaining the grounds or fundraising. Every helping hand counts here!

Tenerife delights visitors with its black and golden beaches, the impressive Pico del Teide volcano and lively towns such as Santa Cruz. After work or on your days off, you can relax on the beach, go diving or surfing, or explore the island by bus. Culture fans should visit the capital or the ‘ghost town’.
