In a neighbourhood with no access to gardens, a community garden has been created to give local people the opportunity to experience nature, enjoy community life and relax.
You will help with gardening and landscaping, plant vegetables and herbs, collect rainwater, use solar energy and occasionally support local environmental campaigns. Depending on the weather, you will work indoors or outdoors.
You can choose when you start work depending on the season and your preferences.
When it is hot, many people start early in the morning and finish after a long break in the afternoon to avoid working during the midday heat. In the mild winter months, work starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. You should work around 3-6 hours per day. What you do depends on the weather.
According to legend, the famous Count Dracula lived in Bran Castle in Romania. It is still open to visitors today. You can also go on long hikes in the Carpathian Mountains. In the capital city of Bucharest, you can marvel at the gigantic Palace of the Parliament. As a special highlight, you can visit an underground amusement park called Salina Turda. Train tickets are relatively inexpensive and allow you to travel around the country easily, so weekend trips with other participants are a great option. The team on site will be happy to give you tips.
