Then join our international team of volunteers on the island of Kefalonia on a research-based sea turtle conservation project. You can choose between Lixouri and Argostoli - or do both!

Join an active conservation research centre to support their work in researching and conserving amazing local wildlife, including endangered sea turtles. During turtle season you will help monitor and protect nesting sea turtles and release hatchlings into the Pacific Ocean. Throughout the year there are several active scientific research projects to immerse yourself in Costa Rica’s wildlife.

Set in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania, this sanctuary currently homes over 100 mistreated and abused bears. Rescued from cramped cages and tourist attractions, these bears can now enjoy freedom in the stunning sanctuary. Volunteers mainly help with food preparation and other ad hoc sanctuary tasks, watched over by the bears. Day trips for school groups are available.

The goal of our field volunteer program is to contribute to sustainable development in the area of the Inner Ionian island archipelago in Greece. For this activity we monitor two things: seagrass monitoring (June to September) and Mediterannean monk seal monitoring (year round). Volunteers can participate in either activty or potentially both.

As a volunteer, you primarily support in the areas of marketing, communication, administration, and in the development of materials for workshops and awareness-building.

Care for Asian elephants rescued from a harsh working life. Work with rescued monkeys, bears as well as many other exotic animals. Help the centre to protect endangered wildlife and educate on conservation issues. Live on site at a tropical wildlife centre based on temple grounds.
