Are sustainability and ecology important to you? You enjoy the clear, fresh air and life of the countryside and being surrounded by lush green hills? In rural Ireland we can offer you the opportunity to volunteer alongside experts in ecology and other local and international volunteers. You can support the centre's efforts towards a greener future and at the same time deepen your knowledge of ecology and sustainability.

At an eco-training center run by a non-profit organization, you can support the project staff in their daily tasks such as gardening, plant care, harvesting and composting, as well as doing maintenance work of the facilities. Assist in the planning and implementation of courses, seminars and tours on the topics of organic horticulture, food production, healthy eating, renewable energies and sustainable living, which are offered to interested individuals, school classes and clubs. Support the team of the in-house organic shop and café, selling vegetables, plants, seeds, tools, books, organic and fair trade whole foods and advise customers.

You will also help with administrative and planning tasks in the office, such as handling course bookings, communicating with customers, doing purchases and stock keeping, finances and marketing.

In addition, this stay in Ireland is of course ideal for improving your English skills, gaining international work experience and getting to know like-minded people.

Depuis 2007, nous nous consacrons à l'échange interculturel et à l’éducation dans le monde entier. Notre objectif est de favoriser la compréhension entre les cultures. Les expériences et les compétences interculturelles que vous pouvez acquérir en participant à notre programme augmentent l’empathie entre les peuples et favorisent une coexistence mondiale plus juste.

Nous avons nos propres équipes et divers programmes de volontariat, de stages, de vacances-travail et de langues en Tanzanie, à Zanzibar, en Afrique du Sud, au Maroc, en Israël/Palestine, en Irlande, en Allemagne, au Nicaragua, en Bolivie, en Inde, au Japon et en Corée du Sud.

Nous gérons nos propres camps de protection de l'environnement à plusieurs endroits, où nous menons des activités de protection de l'environnement et d'immersion culturelle sous la direction d'experts.

Pour chaque participant à nos programmes mondiaux, nous plantons 10 arbres indigènes sur le Kilimandjaro pour compenser les émissions de CO2 des vols. Nous gérons également des forêts de bambous à Zanzibar et au Kilimandjaro. Le bambou est un matériau polyvalent à croissance rapide qui n'est pas seulement un excellent puits de carbone, mais peut également remplacer le plastique et le bois dur dans de nombreuses applications.

Qualifications particulières :

Prior knowledge is not required, but adaptability, flexibility, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work in a team are expected. Openness to other ways of living and thinking is a basic principle of the centers. You shouldn't mind being outside in any weather. In addition, working in the eco-center requires basic physical fitness.

Hébergement & repas :

Accommodation is free of charge in shared apartments in houses in the vicinity of the project. Depending on the distance, you can reach the project on foot, by bike or by sharing a car with project team members.You would buy your own food and the eco-centre would reimburses the expenses to you up to a maximum amount. Sometimes food is also provided on site.
